"I tried Mel and Lily’s class with my 14 year old daughter, and it was a complete hit. Any worries that one or the other of us might not like it disappeared the minute we walked through the door, and we just had the best hour, working out and killing ourselves laughing.
Mel is a treat, the music was super fun, and we got to work together on exercises packed a sneaky punch and left us satisfyingly stiff and pleased with ourselves all weekend. To be alongside other mothers and their daughters was just brilliant, and I found it really moving. It’s rare to get a space where we can all play. As we walked into town for snacks after, we agreed that it was the perfect start to the weekend, and probably time we wouldn’t have taken to be together otherwise. We’re booking again, and my daughter liked it so much she’s up for it twice a week.
Here's a bit more lowdown on the feel of the class, if this is of interest.
Expect to work as a team of two, and in games and activities with others, generally with a ‘let’s challenge ourselves’ edge. Despite promising my daughter this wouldn’t happen, there is some cardio, alongside holds, hangs and bodyweight strength work, which feels really satisfying.
Mel subtly adjusts and differentiates as you go, so that you work together, but to your own level of challenge. We all had different levels of experience in our group, and it looked like everyone loved it and left buoyed up and happy.

It felt like such a warm, friendly environment and such a precious thing to do with my daughter. I left feeling closer to her somehow especially as she took her time to show me how to do most of the exercises I’d forgotten. I loved it that she felt empowered to help her Mum!
